About Me

My name is Alexander Victoria Volzer. I am a Holistic Health Practitioner specializing in Integrative Healthcare, Health Promotion/Disease Prevention, and Self-Care Programming in large and mid-size health systems. I run my own private practice, speak and write, run a non-profit for at risk teens, create and sell artwork, and volunteer in the community. As an health practitioner, I work primarily with individuals who have severe or chronic illnesses and special populations like the disabled, elderly, and survivors. My goal when working with clients is to help them feel at home in their own bodies once again, and feel safe. I combine an extensive background in therapeutic and medical massage with a goal of relaxation in helping these clients.

I believe that the current state of affairs in the United States Health Care industry requires a critical management of the various factors of health and science that are on an untenable course. The rising cost of health care, the patient driven market of complementary and alternative medicine, the aging population, the growing population, and the shift in morbidity factors away from illness and disease towards the results of poor lifestyle choices in the context of environmental and genetic factors all require a radical new approach to health care. I am in a unique position to understand the need for the evolution of a healthcare system from the provider, scientist, and patient standpoint because of my educational background in Biochemistry and Molecular biology, my career as a Holistic Health Practitioner, and my personal experiences of close friends and parents with disabilities and my own chronic health struggles.
